Lutheran North High School Athletics

Mission:
Our sports teams are a part of the educational program of the school. The purpose is to provide positive learning experiences and opportunities for the personal growth of the participants. The Lutheran North Athletic Department promotes the values of participation, sportsmanship, teamwork and personal excellence in our student athletes.

In addition to an excellent academic program, Lutheran North also has a great tradition in athletics. Our students have an opportunity to excel in a wide variety of sports. During the school year we field 30 teams in 15 different activities. Our teams play in over 400 contests during the year. Our girl's teams compete in the Metro Women's Athletic Association and our boy's teams compete in the ABC League. We are members of, and governed by the rules of, the Missouri State High School Activities Association.

"Crusader" teams have won numerous championships over the years and North has become known as one of the top small school athletic programs in Missouri. We have won 120+ individual and team MSHSAA District Championships. In 2009 the Baseball and Girls Soccer teams claimed District Championships. Fourteen Lutheran North teams have won State Championships. Several other teams in tennis, baseball, track, football, and basketball have finished in the "final four."

With the help of several generous donations from friends of Lutheran North and Alumni of Lutheran North and Lutheran Central we have recently been able to expand our outdoor athletic facilities. We have completed the addition of 2 new soccer fields, a baseball field, a softball field, a football practice field, a baseball/softball practice field, a totally renovated football game field and an 8 lane all weather track. Above the football field and track is a pavilion housing a concession stand, restrooms, storage, press box and filming/spotting platform.
