2012/2013 Tuition Assistance Fact Sheet

The Tuition Assistance Program of the Lutheran High School Association includes both merit based and need-based assistance. The need-based tuition assistance is designed to help any young person who wishes to attend one of the high schools but cannot afford the entire tuition rate because of family need. Need-based tuition assistance is awarded on a first come/first served basis.

Tuition Assistance Available

    1. Academic Scholarships - $1,200 awards are based on EXPLORE test results for freshmen, renewable on maintenance of 3.5 GPA.

    2. Leadership Grants - A small number are available and are awarded on the basis of leadership, scholarship and service. Call Paul Endorf, Admissions Director at 314-389-3100 ext 422 or Mr. Brackman, Principal, at 314-389-3100, ext 401 for application.

    3. Tuition Assistance - Awarded on basis of a FACTS need-based assessment.. Tuition assistance is generally awarded up to a maximum of 50% of tuition.

Application for Tuition Assistance

Forms are available at the time of registration or anytime in the school office (but not before November 1, 2011) or by going online to www.factstuitionaid.com. A student must be officially registered before applying for tuition assistance. Lutheran High School Association of St. Louis has selected FACTS as the independent third party to analyze your application and determine tuition assistance need. Directions for filling out the application and the mailing address are included in the packet given to you by the school office. A nominal processing fee of $25 is required to complete the process.  Online filing is the preferred method.

Deadline for Application for Tuition Assistance

The preferred deadline is March 1, 2012. Applications received after this date will be processed as money is available. We encourage early applications. First priority is given to families that apply by March 1, 2012.  Tuition assistance award letters will be mailed by April 1, 2012 from the school office to the family requesting tuition assistance if the application is received by FACTS by March 1, 2012. If you are applying for tuition assistance after March 1, 2012, please allow at least 30 days after the date of mailing for the school to respond.
