Choir Programs

The Lutheran North High School Choir is an outstanding performance group that exists to further the Gospel through song. While many public school choirs can create excellent musical groups that are pleasing to hear, Lutheran North has the ability to not only make beautiful music but to combine it with the very Word of God. The same Word that changes peoples lives as God works faith in their hearts. The same Word that forms the foundation of our school. The same Word that stands as a guarantee of God's love and our salvation through Jesus Christ. That is the message that the choir brings as they perform within the school, in the community and in our churches.

Choir is open to any freshman through senior interested in having a choral experience. Through singing in concerts and assisting in worship services, your singer will learn vocal and aural skills needed to become a well-rounded singer, as well as skills needed for vocal performance. During your singer's time in choir, there will be tour opportunities as well as opportunities for greater music appreciation and development through attending concerts in and around our community.

Gospel Choir

The Lutheran High School North Gospel Choir is an exceptional group of students gifted in the area of music who have a passion to praise God through song. This choir is unique because the director, the musicians and the singers are all students. Membership is open to all students who have a passion and commitment to spreading the good news of the Gospel through this musical ministry. The devoted students attend rehearsals at 7:15 a.m., prior to the beginning of the school day.

The Gospel Choir strives to maintain a constant level of excellence and to continually expand its repertoire with songs of praise and worship that honor our Lord and Savior. Their strong desire is to touch the minds and hearts of all who will listen as they expound the word of God through song. Since the choir is led by students, it is constantly adapting to new leadership but this actually enables the students to demonstrate their capability of working independently of the faculty and in a unified manner that serves to glorify God. The Gospel Choir ministers during various chapel services at Lutheran North and at various Christian churches and functions throughout the community. We expect the invitations to continue to pour in as word of this student ministry continues to spread.
