Our guiding principles are to nuture young

WELCOME

Students on lawnNurtured Daily in Faith

I would like to say welcome to all of you as you utilize our Student Guide to Academic Programs & Services to plan for each year of your high school career and beyond.

I would like to share a set of principles that allow us to fulfill our mission at Lutheran North in all of our classes and activities. First, students have an opportunity to be nurtured daily in faith in their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through daily chapel, theology classes and in all relationships.

Second, we have the opportunity to nurture students with an excellent education. As you begin to plan for your high school classes it is important to look at the future. What do I want to do after high school? Where do I want to go to college? What are some of the requirements that I will need to get into the college of my choice? These are all questions that each student will be challenged to exam and plan for as they are students at Lutheran North. This guide is a great tool to assist in this process.

We care about our community and embrace the diversity and individuality of our students.

The third and final guiding principle is that students have an opportunity to be nurtured holistically. There is a host of opportunities in athletics, drama and clubs. We encourage this aspect of the student’s education because there are so many learning and leading opportunities that are provided while involved in these activities.

As you now begin to plan your high school years, don’t be afraid to challenge yourself to develop new skills and areas of knowledge. The mission of Lutheran High School North states: “We exist to nurture young Christians for further education and Christian service.” Your search for courses of study is also a search for the way in which you will use your God-given abilities in service to others. There are many pathways to Christian service and all are worthwhile to explore!
